Not sure what "tabled" means, but assume it means not moving out of committee - below is an email I received in response to mine.

 Dear Mr. Ledford:

Thank you for your e-mail regarding HB 1570 and HB 1486 both dealing with
the spay and neutering of companion animals.

I appreciate you sharing your views on this subject.  You will be glad to
know that both bills were tabled and will no longer be considered during
this session.

Please don't hesitate to contact me again should you have any other
legislation of interest to you.  You may follow all legislation at
http://legis.state.va.us.

Sincerely,

Robert D. "Bobby" Orrock, Sr.

Thanks cledford    keep on it and keep your city and friends up to date   dont let them pass it..I emaild the mayor of Dallas,  as I sell dogs to Dallas area people and I voiced very strongly about encroutching on my freedoms and my concern of a very unhealthy practice the city is getting into.....Spaying is not good unless an animal is sick or a stray or in a government association,,,they already havae the right to spay them   A spayed dog is not one I bred and I am sorely against any person telling my custiomers thay have to spay my german sheherd if they dont want to..

Dallas area breeders will jump on this , Im sure and we can head it off...Please do not let your guard down.....thats how the government plays their games........AKC is on top of this also...

The last time  I checked  we still live in America  the land of the Free and the BRAVE,,   Im brave enough to stand  and wont lie down for this one.

Calvin, when a motion/bill/presentation is tabled, the issue is put aside for discussion and/or a vote at the next regularly-scheduled meeting. By Henry Robert's Rules the item can be tabled but once for its life. At the next meeting there must be action to continue the item, or withdraw it from the agenda.

Regards,

Bob-O
