Proposed laws:

•Requiring all dogs and cats to be spayed and neutered, except those owned by people with breeder permits issued by the city government. Animals under 4 months old and those exhibiting applicable medical conditions would also be exempt. Breeder permits would cost $500 annually and would subject those in possession to random city inspections.

•Allowing city residents to keep no more than six dogs, cats or a combination in a single-family home. Animal foster or rescue operations could keep more upon obtaining permission from the city’s animal services director. People with more than six animals would be grandfathered, meaning they would not have to give up pets they own.

The commission guy handling this - Skip Trimble - is a big time AR guy.

Please take my poll on the subject and see more details:

For the sake of the poll, the bill can't just fail. Some legislation has to be passed.

Thanks auntivenom, I was wondering when Dallas was going to start the Mandatory Spay/Neuter Bill.  You know if Dallas passes it, the other cities will be sure to follow.

Based on emails I have received I have added the option to recommend that Dallas Adopt the No Kill Advocacy Center's protocols.

Hopefully that will give an option for people are completely against regulating breeders further. It ate up the original votes, although I posted them on my site.

One critisism I recieved is that 12 months is not long enough to get a CGC. Has that been anyone here's experience? I got mine at 15 months (well my dogs) but that was because I was lazy, not because he couldn't do it.

Why would anyone want the  city in their business,,,Its no ones business to tell me or the owners of my german shepherds in dALLAS THAT THEY  have to spa y or neutor a dog with no health issues....it is ludicrus......

Why would you want any one telling you , knocking on your door and you get fined because you wont spay or neu yu dog....and if you are a small breeder,,,you spend every dollar you get on health  food and keeping the dogs in excellent shap.e   ...if you register your so call    kennel    you have inspections on their   call not yours  and they know nothing about a shepherd and banning  me or you will not stop dogs on the street....they dont know how to stopthe back yard breeders now ,what makes anyone think this will stop the men and women with 30 wet , nasty ill dogs in a pen in the dirt in a backyard with a tarp over them and sell them for twice what a reputible breeder is selling a well bred , knowledgeable dog for....

THESE KINDS OF BREEDERS MAKE MONEY BECAUSE THEY DONT SPEND ANY MONEY AT ALL ON THE PUPS OR THE BREEDERS.....THEY SELL THEM AND RUN     THEY ALSO WILL GO UNDERGROUND AND STILL SELL ALL THE DOGS THEY WANT....

BIG BREEDERS OF BIG KENNELS, MAKE MONEY TO PAY THE FEES AND REGISTRATIONS TO COUNTIES AND CITIES AND THIS HAS RULES THEY WILL NOW HAVE TO ABIDE BY ...INCLUDING    REFUNDING MONEY NO MATTER WHAT THE CASE...THEY WILL SUFFER THE GOVERNMENT CONTROL AND SOON GIVE UP AND EITHER SELL OUT TO SOMEONE THAT IS AFFLIATED WITH COOPERATE COMPANIES THAT WILL SELL DOGS BY THE TONS ,,,AT PRICES I WOULDNT AFFORD.....BECAUSE THE GOVERNMENT SAYS SO.........NO THANK YO.....

It is an intrushion on my freedom     this kind  of bill wont stop breeding of hundreds of dogs in the streets...

It is a useless bill and it only makes the cities to hire another employee or two that cant control the dog fighters now. THEY  , THE CITIES., have laws already on books that they dont enforce.....when people complain or turn their neighbor in for too many dogs and barking violation  ,,,they dont do anything , nor does it stop   they issue a few fines and it continues...this will bill is private business made to succumb to a citys government control   .

The next thing we wil have in the United States is human baby control.....they already have a chip program in place to tract any child till he dies...at what ever age.....and they will next  , put a law into our Congress to say  you can only have one child and if is a boy , you have to kill it.....you think it wont happen   ?  Then you better do some research and some soull searching....its called Universal  Government   and also  known   as   ONe world government....and  if  you all fall for this one ,   I hope Im not in this world when the rest comes.....

You cannot allow to let GOVERNMENT TELL YOU THAT THEY CAN SOLVE EVERYTING FROM CANCER TO A NOSEBLEED BY BANNING  YOUR RIGHT TO EAT FRENCH FRIES IN OIL OR DRINKING A SODA WITH A GLYCERIDE IN IT....JUST CHOOSE ANOTHER WAY TO DO YOUR LIFE   BUT FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO FINE COMPANIES FRYING YOUR FRIES IN AN FATTY OIL          .....  OR FINING  COKE A COLA FOR PRODUCING A DRINK WITH A SUGAR SUBSTITUE.....    GET REAL.........GO BUY A DOG  AND LOVE IT AND PRAY THAT AMERICA STAYS THE GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE AND FOR THE PEOPLE

FIGHT >>>>>>   FOR AS LONG AS WE HAVE LIFE AS IT IS, LEFT.....FREE TO MAKE MY OWN CHOICE....
