Anyone near Littleton NH?? - Page 1

Hey guys & gals,

  Today I was contacted by a handler of one of my dogs. He is the sole K-9 Handler for Littleton, NH PD and his partner is K-9 Wizard. Officer Culver and Wizard are Patrol, Narcotics, and SWAT Certified (the are part of the Central NH Special Opps team). The handler was told today that the Town Council has decided to halt the funding of the small K-9 Unit. K-9 Wizard and Officer Culver have had some very good tracking finds, very few apprehensions, and many Narcotics finds. Being a small town, they do not receive enough income from the Narcotics finds to support the Unit as most of the finds are small time users and not dealers. Officer Culver stated that he does many demo's and they receive donations quite often but the money has been put in the general Police Fund and does not go specifically to the Unit. 

    There has been a little bit of an outcry from residents who will be sending letters of support for the K-9 Unit and we are hoping to get people to send more. This dog was a dog that was dumped at the CT Humane Society, deemed unadoptable due to drive and dog aggression, brought to our program, started basic training, and was donated to the Littleton PD.  This dog lives the GSD Rescue Dog Dream going from homeless to hero. Last year, my Rescue Organization raised funds and purchased a Ballistics Vest for Wizard which he wears when needed.

I am in Southern NH, however, I grew up just a tad south of Littleton. My brother still resides in the area up there and is a police officer. What can we do to help you?? I still have several close friends in the North Country and am happy to send information mass mail to anyone to help.
