Hey everyone what are your thoughts on this female she is 19 mos and 65lbs about 23-24in. Give honest opinions. She is linebred 2-3 Larus Batu, 4,3-5 Ursus Batu, 4-5 Karly Arminius, 5-5 Marit Wildstieger Land.

Large and very strong female, good topline and high whither, good angulation of the front and rear. Good proportions. The croup is short and quite steep. From the looks of the two stacked pictures, she may be just a little east/west in the front.
If you plan on breeding, I would *REALLY* recommend choosing a male with alternative lines. She is very heavily linebred; you do NOT want to consider any males from the Ursus bloodline and keep linebreeding to a minimum (doing a total outcross if possible). Pay attention to croup length and angle within the bloodline. An expressive male with strong pigmentation and good breed type should be considered.

Thanks so much for your response. What would be a good bloodline to combine with hers? Here is a link to her pedigree: http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/480324.html I totally agree with everything you said. My girl has good pigment she is just not as red as I would like her to be. She has dark eyes and nails. Its so hard to find a male these days without Ursus that has the nice big blocky heads I like. And being where Im located there aren't too many studs to choose from.

Would a complete outcross be safe? What type of problems could come if more Ursus blood were used? I really don't know the bad qualities of the Ursus blood except short croups. What bloodlines would go well with hers?

I would recommend a Hill line dog. Where exactly are you from?

Everyone always tells me they really love her head. What about using East German blood? There are many with excellent construction with big blocky heads great temperaments and it would be new blood. I know many of you are purest but what are your thoughts about that?

Here is a nice male as an alternative for an outcross.
