this is a little wierd but........boss has always done this thing where,if im scratching his back or his chest, he kinda looses his breath for a second, streches out his kneck  and makes a wierd sound---kind of a gulp/gag/soft deep growl...all at the same time....but it only last a second  and i could swear its a burp or a hic-up...lol....so do dogs burp?

All of mine make a foul and loud burp immediately after feeding and this is usually done within an inch of my face. I guess that burping is a good thing, as it shows the dog can easily expel gas through its esophagus.

Now concerning the farts-I have lesser tolerance there.

Regards,

My girl Sam lets out a burp after every meal,

and even before I feed her, she starts grunting
and making "Sam" noises, she's a riot!

Bloat resistant GSDs have a capacity to belch if their food produces gas or they eat too fast.  Capacity to belch suggests a strong mesentery system, proper esophagul, stomache confirmation and innervation, and proper reflex response to gas in the gut.
