In response to the message why did we get a dog from this particular breeder: a purebred german shepherd dog was my boyfriend's dream, not mine. He did the research and paid for the dog. I'm only involved in the aftermath. The only thing I knew of Kraftwerk K9 before our puppy came home was that someone had spent some significant time working on their website. The lack of professionalism and respect shown by Kraftwerk to us is appalling. One of his kennel staff had the audacity to bring up the possibility that I gave him bacterial meningitis, since I work at a vet hospital. That's absurd and completely ridiculous. Just because I interact and/or treat a dog with meningitis does NOT mean I can bring it home to our puppy. This same self-described kennel tech told me that I was just asking for trouble with my own animals since I work at one of those vet places. I'm sorry, but if veterinary personnel take the proper precautions, we just don't bring home illness to our pets. Regardless of the fact that I have a love/hate relationship with breeders, the ones I have come in contact with are in it to maintain the breed standards, to improve upon it. They also have excellent relationships with the owners of their animal's progency for the lifetime of the animal. Just recently a breeder paid for a patient of mine to have an EKG and cardiac ultrasound because one of his littlermates had been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy. Oh yeah, did I mention said dog and littermates just celebrated their 7th birthday? Kraftwerk strikes me as "wham, bam, thank you ma'am." When I spoke with these people about our deceased puppy, the general drift I got was, "yeah, so we sold you a dog, whattya want?" I'm going to go into my world famous merchandise analogy again. Say you buy a TV, the dude from Circuit City is NOT going to call you up and ask how's the new plasma working for you? And if you were to call aforementioned Circuit City dude and tell him your new HDTV broke into a million pieces and there is no hope of repairing it, he's probably going to say "So? Why are you calling me?" This is not the attitude one should expect from a breeder. I mentioned to one of Mr. Curry's minions that they might want to contact our puppy's littermates. From the response I got (hysterical laughter) you'd think I suggested Mr. Curry donate the proceeds of his business to the Humane Society. What I got was, "Oh yeah, like we're gonna do that!" I just strongly encourage anyone thinking of purchasing a dog from a breeder to research them extensively. I just hope no one else has to have the same experience I did: a hysterical boyfriend screaming, "He's dead, he's dead!" That's just not something I want a repeat performance of.

Several people in the other thread have asked you to post the Oregon path report, yet nothing, I spent about 7 days at the kennel, before I purchased my puppy, 3 of those visits unannounced, I watch Wayne work with his adults and met his entire staff, watched his puppy trainer work with all the puppies.  I can say I did not see anything that would make me feel uneasy.

My wife was a vet tech for years, and has an ADS degree from Auburn, and is now an RN, seems to agree with your dissenters.  A puppy sold to you immuno-deficient would have died in a matter of days if not hours with any kind of deadly staff, only a few minutes of research and speaking to a few different vets come to the same conclusion,  did you get an initial vet assessment when you took the puppy home, what did that vet say?  Things here do not pass the stinky test, you still have never corrected your timeline how long did you have your pup, and its hard to believe that you did not notice any weight loss, hematuria, or any other sign of the animal being septic if the animal was sick for several weeks.

Additionally, I never heard anyone there call Wayne Mr Curry, everyone including the admin staff called him Wayne.  If the path report is so powerful please post it for all to see the truth.
