Just in case you hadn't seen this  http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/bulletins_read/158417.html#158807

"A year later I bought a dog on a whim because he looked hideous for $100.00. Elite Tactical K-9 Mace. His grandfather is Congo Vikar and he also has alot of Pohranicni Straze Lines in his lineage. I am trying to find out more on his sire (War Van Den Heuvel) and dam (Dakota Von Armierung Haus)."

I couldn't find the dog on the OFA site using either the name or the AKC reg number, so maybe the dog was just OFAed.  Also on the thread mentioned by TIG the owner says she believes the dog is ruined for personal protection, so I guess it sort of depends on what your friend wants the dog for.  He will probably make a nice companion,  and if that's what your friend is looking for and the price is low enough, it's most likely a good deal.

I fee sorry for the owner, less than 2 weeks ago she was telling us about breeding and training plans.  Sometimes life deals us a rotten hand.

I hope this dog ends up in a good permanent home.

It is unfortunate that people here call it apon themselves to pass judgement with out knowing the true facts of the situation or speaking to me in person.  I had expected more out of the "professionals" on this data base.

Thank You for your time,

Shannan

Shannan, I'm curious what judgement you feel was passed. I simply posted an informational link and quoted you. Sue simply mentioned she was unable to find him in the OFA database but noted it may be a very new number. I do not see a judgement here at all other than the one you made in your quote and maybe sue's hope the dog finds a permanent home.

TIG,

There are those of you out there who play fair in judgement however those of you... who know who you are, make the rest of you look bad.

Thanks to all who played fair.  No judgement passed from you TIG or Sueincc.  At least you are searching for FACTS.  I am hoping to place this male in a good forever home.  Where he can serve as someones footrest.  He is an astronomical dog that has been misjudged.

Shannon:     It is yourself that used a bad judgement , by coming on this site , back a month ago, and put the adjectives   ugly, hideous, and ruined by someone else.....what do you call that ........ then you didnt tell the truth about that   Mace had sired a litter,,,,,oh  an accident.....when ask about it you,,,you flim flammed......what else to you think people have to go on      now that you suddenly put this dog for sale...that someone sold you    for      $100.00????

So how much profit are you gaining by your getting him ofa and siring a litter ,, now...proven stud..

We realize you  are new to all this, but if you don't tell the whole story in the beginning,,,the board has no other thing to judge the post on.......

Does this show to us that you are concerned about the dog's welfare or your making a quick  buck.....I'd like to know why someone sold a dog of good quality for that kind of price........$100.00   raises questions in itself.

Luvmidog,

Perhaps if you all knew Mace's whole story you would better understand the situation.  No one bothered to ask any further questions, however you all took it upon yourselves to pass judgements on the postings with out inquiring further on the situation.  My phone number is listed under the kennel name... If you all were the least bit interested in learning more or perhaps getting to know me,  it boils down to a simple phone call.  Some things are hard to explain over posts.  Yes, I wanted to use this dog as a sire, No, I do not believe that a sire proves himself in one litter.  Yes, I am smart enough to step back and see that I do not have the time to devote to this dog like he deserves.  Yes, it would be nice to have all titled dogs in my breeding program, am I working on that? .  Yes.  Futhermore, , I am not in this "to make a buck",  I believe breeding dogs of any breed should be done because it is the breeders passion and love of their particular breed.  If they are breeding for money, they have it all wrong.  I love what I do and it makes me quite proud to hear back from owners who are enjoying the pups they purchased from me.  When I made that original post I was simply inquiring about the background dogs in their pedigrees however it exploded into something it wasnt.  I believe myself to be a person who is honest,  trustworthy,  and of good ethics,  genuinely friendly and outgoing and I believe that those who do know me and not from behind their computers know me to be the same.

Have a great one  :)

Shannan Perna
