Xylitol in chewing gum can be poisonous to GSDs.  I didn't know this, just found about about it, and was surprised to find out about it.  I don't know how many other products have this.  The AMVA has a listing of a nyumber of substances and foods which are be toxic to GSDs.  If you buy chewing gum with Xylitol in it, don't leave it in your jacket pockets or where your GSDs can get it.

Thank you Preston.  You find this kind of stuff and share it frequently and I really appreciate that.
