oh so sorry....
yep i am testing my breeding stock for DM, i have a question , i have used DDC labs, is OFA any better or do they come back with the same results? has any one done both?
by Blitzen on 05 January 2012 - 18:01
Either way, it's great that you are doing that! Thank you.
Please help spread the word - if you're going to breed GSD's, know their DM status. It's the right thing to do.

yes , that would be nice if they had a data base, but i do have all the paper work so all is good.
ok thanks i thought they were the same.
DM test is the first thing i do on my new pups i plan to keep and if they come back no good i will place them in a pet home, i am very picky about only breeding to DM clear dogs., so if a stud is not tested i wont use him. to many breeders still need to test. i am with you on the DM testing and i have spread the word. i sure think its a good start.

All the more reason to pass on the word. I feel for anyone that has been thru it; and for the dogs sake, pass the word on. Thx Nan

It's a deadly equalizer.
It will take out a seemingly healthy working, show or BYB bred dog.
I feel sorry for anyone going through it with their dog. No worse feeling in the world than that of being helpless.
