With the addition of the IP addresses, has anyone noticed posters with the same IP address posting under different names?

Is anyone out there "Busted"?

Not yet. But wait for the fun to begin. As Chris Stump said on the other thread, the IP addresses through AOL can change a bit each time one logs on through their browser serice, so it is not yet 100% troll-proof.

I await the first one to be busted myself.

Regards,

Bob-O

Another issue to consider is logging on in different places.  I use my computer at work and at home.  I went back and checked my own history and different IP's show up.....

Check out this thread and notice two posts directly following one another several times with different login's but same exact IP address.

Sure hope Oli can add the IP addresses to the comments section.

Marsha gets the Razzie for the first BUST. In fact, it looks like she busted a couple of folks on this one thread.

DoRight and K9Hooligan have the same IP#s in the following thread  64.12.117.202, though it is interesting to note DoRight uses several different IP#s, even in one thread:  http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/bulletins_read/155539.html#156801

I'm wondering how accurate this is? Cause in the one thread it's frenzi and Vhdoose, Vhdoose is Uwe and I know him pretty well....he normally signs his posts (at least most of them) and normally likes to take credit for everything he says, whether people like him for it or not. He actually takes pretty great pride in saying what he thinks and then standing by it. So it wouldn't seem normal for him to post something without taking credit for it. Is there any way of mimicking an IP address or something? Vhdoose would be his normal handle, I don't recognize the other one at all. In Marsha's second post I didn't see any multiple identities (though I may be missing something) but rather a couple of different posters that then answered back and forth???

a pm forwarded to me

Ok - I am Lee Hough....my kennel name is Wolfstraum, and my screen name is Kougar.

There is one person who is behind this and one of her puppy owners. I have the IPs used for the sign ups from Oli. I refuse to participate in the baiting and bashing here. I cannot post even an innocuous comment on gas mileage without being slammed and defamed by these two people.

I do not post as any alias' - in fact, two of the people who use alias' here are known to me and I have asked them to stop, but they have their own agendas. One is a guy who was a competitive power lifter and I cannot control him

I will not post anything on this thread. But as long as Oli lets these people retain membership here this will continue. I have gone to the extent of looking up Icelandic laws to see if I can request the shut down of this site as I am tired of the lies and the nonsense of being defamed here constantly.

and then frenzi has a different IP address on other posts...and in this same thread, I don't get what you're saying frenzi? one person behind what?
