(yawn) It's the 'ol 2-2 debate again. Too tight for my taste, and too tight for SV standards. But AKC will slap papers on a 1-2 so why not? (groan) Some breeders purposefully inbreed this tight, convinced they've got a good thing going, even a few high end breeders do this. Doesn't make it "right", or even wise.
Not my cup 'o tea, though. Genetic diversity has too many benefits in the long term to outweigh the potential of "super pups" from tight inbreeding. Fortunately there's enough breedings to choose from that people can avoid tight crossing if they're concerned (and rightfully so).
But that's just my view and those who favor tight crossings will continue to do so despite warnings to the potential pitfalls. Such is life...

The ancestry seems healthy, and the only thing I will add is from what i read (and yes, one cannot take what one reads as 100% the truth) is that one should avoid too much of the Grim. But, he is fairly far back so whatever his negative influence (hips I believe) should not manifest itself.
The 2-2 linebreeding is too close for modern S.V. standards, and while I am not a great fan of such close linebreeding, I am not a professional breeder who knows how to make this type of breeding work well. Overall, the hip quality seems to be at least normal, so I would say that is a good thing for a start here.

Bob

NAVAR and CHERY are owned by Jiri of JINOPO,right?
I don't see any ads of a NAVAR and CHERY breeding on JINOPO's website, and CHERY just gave birth last November '07.

Thank you for the link.
Most dogs from that kennel are mostly Jinopo dogs.

I'd worry about some of the other line breedings as being scary.

Well, isn't Pluto made up of these same dogs that may cause concern in other linebreeding. Besides looks, what was Pluto's working and breeding abilities. Maybe somebody has firsthand knowledge. Either way to linebreed on him 2-2 to me is ludicrous, he does not fit the profile for a dog you would consider to inbreed on, if you would consider it in the first place.

ps....Linebreeding in fourth/fifth generation will have nowhere the impact as the 2-2 linebreeding of Pluto. So, the concentration of expectations should be on the positives/faults of the dogs that are linebred in second/third generations.JMO

I agree with Gustav's thought of identifying what Pluto himself brings to a breeding. What is Pluto producing?
