Thank you, Daryl, for posting the link to this data. Hopefully, I've understood the info correctly.
I have a question...
Example: A top producing dog with many offspring is listed with a lower HD-1%, but half of the progeny have not been x-rayed. The HD-1% listed is low, but the number of those with HD-6 (and/or 2-5) is (are) higher. Does this not make the HD-1% a fairly inaccurate overall indicator? A dog may seem like a producer of good hips based on a low HD-1%, but in reality (especially if many progeny haven't been x-rayed) has produced many offspring with HD-2 through 6.
As I said, I hope I read and understood the data correctly... If not, apologies. Just trying to learn. Any clarification much appreciated.

I addressed a some of that in another forum...
I found it kind of bothersome that the values assigned in those statistics measure the # of A-1 hips to the total progeny, and the percentage of those actually tested were much higher. So somewhere between the Total Breed Value and the Xrayed Breed Value, I wanted to see what a fairer represenation of the two might present. Assuming there can be some good reasons for some progeny to not be xrayed, such as "destined to fail" certification, only half of the non-xrayed progeny are allowed the XBV value for a new Estimated Breed Value. Interestingly, though not indicated in the following charts, the number of A-1 hips in relation to A-2 hips for each producer is fairly proportional, and any strong deviation from that should probably be perceived as suspect. So again, this EBV value is less than favoring of the producer, but paints a better overall picture I think.
Total Breed Value -TBV: % A-1 hips of Total progeny (the worst case scenario)
Xrayed Breed Value -XBV: % A-1 hips of Xrayed progeny only
Estimated Breed Value -EBV: XBV times half of the non-xrayed progeny, added to the TBV
A = # A-1 hips
Az = # A-2 to A6 rated hips
X = # Xrayed
nX = # not Xrayed
P = # Progeny
P = nX + A + Az
TBV = A / P (this value excludes A2 to A6 rated hips, and progeny not Xrayed)
XBV = A / X (this value excludes A2 to A6 rated hips)
EBV = [(nX*XBV)/2+A]/P (this value still excludes A2 to A6 rated hips)
