To whom ever it may concern...my condolences to the family & k9 units of this dog. Now take the guy back, tie a few cement blocks around his legs & finish the job !!!

I really really hope this guy gets a very long term in prison.

Tragic way to start the New Year for that K-9 team.
RIP Stryker and prayers that your heart heals soon Officer Landeros for your loss.
Can we please make that the one and only K-9 fatality this year?

My sentiments exactly. Years ago a female K9 officer had a suspect cornered on a bridge over the Sacramento river. somehow the suspect managed to throw the dog off the bridge onto the rocks below, killing him, but not instantly. When back-up arrived, the suspect "leaped" (with a LOT of help) to join the dog below... He did not survive.
Instant justice at its finest.

Yes that is awful. Working with dog as a partner is just like loosing a human partner.
I like the instant justice as well.

Last night I saw the news report right as I was going to sleep. It was heart breaking and heart wrenching. They showed the dog, wrapped in a blanket, being carried by a LEO who I think was probably his handler. Special place in hell for that bastard. If he lives I hope he has a very painful recovery.
