Just wondering if anyone knows whether white marks on paws are considered undesirable or a fault. We have been importing and breeding for years and this seems to be common. We never gave it much thought until recently when another breeder told me that she can't sell dogs if they have white spots. What are your thoughts?

I've seen VA dogs with white on the chest so it can't be that undesirable. I know that the majority of the time, white on the toes will disappear completely.

Would sure be a lot of top V dogs put down or thrown to the curb if there were something wrong with a tad of white on paws.......a dot on the chest and paw trim on blk/red and even the grey sables is as common as weeds in a garden....

I just had a female I bred shown in a young class and received her SG no problem. She has some white on her toes and a bit on the chest but black nails. The judge had nice things to say about but advised for breeding to watch pigment in choosing a male. She was the only one of 3 born with teh spots that matured with a significant amount.
