Yes, I know I have seen it here before, but after searching for an hour, its just as easy to ask again.

Your asking for the average size of a newborn gsd? Like, an hour old, a day? how old?
Might I ask why?

Yes a GSD, at birth.
I delivered one this morning that was 12 inches long. (yes, get out a ruler)

was that the only heiffer in the litter? lol, sorry, but that would be on the big size. I would assume that possibly 8 inches might be normal, but while I have weighed puppies after birth, I have never measured them.

Well I'm no rocket scientist but thats not normal.
I've seen pups born contorted but I dont think thats what you meant.
12 inches long. I'd be curious what it looks like tomorrow.
The one thing I believe about births, I dont interfere. Let nature take its course with this pup and let us know how things progress. I'm very curious at this point.
