Yesterday we had to make the hardest decision of our lives & put our dear friend Rosa to sleep.
She had stomach cancer which was inoperable. It didnt really hit home until this morning when
I was hosing out the kennels & this lunatic wasnt there to chase the water, its funny how its the silly things that you miss.Rosa was not only a friend and a much loved pet but she was also a top winning show dog.Her show name was Champion Peterwell Happy Hooker of Alberdale.I remember buying her from my good friends & her breeders Jim Adamson & Bubbles Jackson.I asked what kind of a name is that to give to a dog & the reply was "we wanted to give her a name that nobody would forget".It was true! anyone who met her always rembered her,not just for the name but because of her fabulous character & breed type.Rosa was Irelands top winning female in 2002 & she was made a Champion in only 5 weeks,I think its a record time, but who cares.Good bye my dear friend, dont run too fast,we,ll catch up with you soon.

My sincere condolences to you. I know how it is to loose such a great friend. Especially around Christmas. This is suppose to be a time of giving NOT loosing. I lost my dear frind 12-14-2004. I still miss him. He was such a great dog. His name was Arros vom Tonka Haus...he is on the site.

My sympathies to you.... I lost my Kaela v Klaushaus SchH3, the little dog that could, the week after Thanksgivng to pancreatic cancer, she was 9 1/2. She was that very special once in a lifetime dog who just melted my heart every time we looked at each other.... I took a photo of her the day we took her to end her pain and it will hang on the wall in my office forever... she always had to be with me and now she will be.
It is a terribly painful (and brave) thing to do and it really really hurts but it will hurt less as time goes on. We know what we have to do and I for one am honored to have been able to help her in that way.
Enjoy the memories, those will stay with you forever.

God Bless you, so sad at this time of year when all around you rejoice. She will wait for you, & watch for you; you'll never be alone. It's true, when I look up at the stars at night, I think some of them wag their tails.....jh

So sorry you lost your girl. The only thing that helps is time and some day you will meet again.

I'm truly sorry for your loss. It sounds like she was an outstanding dog. Although it is a rough time of year, the truth is it hurts like hell no matter when it happens. I lost my very best dog ever on 12/15/05. My consolation was he had lived over 14 years and for a large GSD that's a long, long time. That dog gave me lot and made me a better person. I was so lucky to have him.
