Hello All, I was killing some time here this afternoon and I pulled up my females pedigree, I followed it back as far as it would go and was amazed at how many black dogs are in her pedigree back in the 1800's and early 1900's My female is Black and Red showline. Pretty amazing how much they have changed in 100 years. I put a link to the last dog I could find in her pedigree and Captain Max gave the Korr on the dog.I found this to be interesting and just thought I would share it.

Horand v Grafrath was the foundation dog for the breed / that is a far back as you can go ..................does any GSD NOT go back to him?
