Not sure how THAT happened-been having problems with my wireless keyboard, sorry! ANYWAY..... I am looking for a very low drive pup, not immediately, but my granddaughter has an aging gsd mix, & I would like to introduce a pup to her household some time over the summer. They prefer females, & we are talking strictly pet quality here, will be spayed, & temperment & good nerves are a must. This dog will have to be able to be a couch potato, or keep up with my grandaughter, who is very active. She is a very mature 6 year old, and LOVES GSDs, her bedroom is full of stuffed GSDs, & she always wants to come to my house, not to see me, but to play with the dogs, especially Kali. So, keep me in mind, if anyone has a female pup that shows little to no drive, I have a good home for her! I will not consider placing any pup over the holidays. And I am not opposed to older dogs or rescues, but I need to have a reasonable expectation of a decent lifespan, so I will not consider dogs over 4-5 years old. Thanks! jackie osborne

Definitely try the rescues/pefinder. They have so many nice young and adult dogs that might just be perfect for your grand daughter. I'll keep my eyes open for one as well. SS

Hey Shelley- How are you doing, surviving the attack of the killer mud? Yes, my gd's dog is kinda slowly declining, tumors everywhere, but as she is not in pain or suffering, they are not going to treat her. They got her from a shelter, who said she was 3 or 4 years old, and that was 10 years ago, so she's had a long and happy life. Her head is completely gray, and the fur on her tail keeps falling out, she looks a wreck, despite the very best vet care and living conditions. She is on chronic antibiotics for the tail problem, but they feel, & I agree with them, that she's too old for surgery. My granddaughter is so attached to her, every time they take her to the vet for a new lump, she freaks out. So, I thought it might be a good idea to bring a new pet into the home before something happens to Zuni, so there's a 4 legged comforter that she's already attached to, to soften the event a little for her. But because of her age I wouldn't want to introduce a drivey dog to them, because she & her dad would love it, but my daughter & grandson would hate it! I need a very soft dog, no drives to speak of, so I thought if I put the word out, maybe by summer someone would here of one. I'm looking for your little dissapointments!LOL! Shelley, give me a call! jackie harris
