If you had to choose ONE breeder in the US or Canada to buy a working line puppy from, who would it be and why?

Dean & Karla Calderon. Although the breeding kennel is relatively new, I don't think there are many with Deans knowledge about all things working line GSDs. They are both extremely honest & not the kind of people who would tell someone just what they want to hear in order to sell a dog. Dean has made good friendships and earned the respect of some of the best trainers and breeders in Europe and because of that, he has access to the best dogs.

Mark and Michele Scarberry, von Lindesfarne kennels.
Gabor Szlazi and Sue Di Cero
Excellent breeding programs with excellent dogs,extensive experience and knowledge of the breed and lines, actively training and competing with not only the dogs they use in their breeding programs, but dogs from their breeding program. Top that off with the highest ethics and business practices.

SORRY FORGOT TO LIST THE WHYS! NOT ONLY DO BOTH LANDSCHAFT KENNELS AND VON HAUS TARGA KENNELS HAVE EXCELLENT BREEDING PROGRAMS, HIGH ETHICS AND BUSINESS PRACTICES, EXPERT KNOWLEDGE OF BLOODLINES, MOST IMPORTANTLY THEY ARE BREEDING DOGS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE BREED RATHER THAN FOR THE MONEY. THEY BOTH ALSO ARE THERE TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS YOU MAY HAVE PERTAINING TO THEIR DOGS, FOR THE LIFE OF THE DOG, NOT JUST UNTIL THE PUP LEAVES THEIR KENNELS.

Nate is extremely Knowledgeable, Honest, Trustworthy, has a great understanding of the bloodlines strengths and weaknesses and breeds to enhance the strengths and minimize any weaknesses. Nate also has some of the finest breeding females in the country.

Dean's program is SO "not new". Ha ha ha. He never used to breed a lot of dogs, still doesn't, but if anyone in this country knows bloodlines, its Dean.

I agree with bweet, Landschaft kennels...my family has had several of their dogs over the years and imo Craig and Marcy are the best!

And this is why you have decided to co-own a show dog with Tracy Bullinger who breeds more than 100 puppies a year and because you have admitted yourself, you don't want to be last any more in a national conformation show? And there is no Kevin Murrtal son who has placed at all in national or international WORKING dog events. So you plan to change this. Good luck.
