Who has experience with Miniature-Shepherds??? - Page 1

A friend of mine owns a very, very small Shepherd-male. With 10 weeks he has a weight of 2 kg and the height is only 22cm. Who can give us some experience with these little dogs. We are looking for humans they own also a dog with these genetic defect. Pic¿s we can send for interesting people.

Isa, are you talking about dwarves? There are two types w/in the GSD breed. The pituitary dwarf ( dog is proportionate just small and usually with a foxy face) and the chrondoplastic(normal body short legs - like a corgi - been having a problem in Australia I believe). I live with Nemo a pituitary dwarf. Search the db and there are several threads about dwarfs. Nemo's a bit unusally as he is now 9 years old and going strong. Can you share with us the pedigree - certain lines are known producers of dwarves.
