I just got my pup back from a month stay at a trainers and he returned on a level I never expected from a pup ( drive-focus-biting like a gator). Has anyone ever got their dog back from a trainer just to be so satisfied to send it back to them for futher training??

I have done exactly that when I was in transition from a move. Once I got my dog back I was impressed on my new dog so I looked for a trainer close to my new location but the search was useless so I sent him back to finish his SCH 1. What type of training were you working for? I would like to ask who he is but it may upset peolpe and say you are spamming the site so P.M me...

Is this the same pup who had mixed drives before? What do you attribute the difference in attitude to? Did he mature up some? Or were you misreading his reactions you think?

Sabrina- The dog I was speaking of is another one I have. The pup you are refering to ( mix drives) is doing better. She has maturing now. Her defense drive was just consuming her and overpowering her other drives. They are now balancing out and she is understanding them.
