Does anyone else hate picking up dog crap in the fallen leaves as much as I do? How else to spot a turd, before stepping on it first? How and the hell do you people sleep with your dogs on the bed with you? Are they really up there all night or just start out up there and jump down later? I just can't fathom it! Feel free to add some silly questions of your own to the list. Nothing worthwhile happening on this board at the moment anyway!

I would make sure that your dog takes a crap before I'd let them sleep in bed with you...otherwise they might just take a crap in the fallen leaves...then where are you...you have to step in it before you get out of bed and step in it in your bare feet...What a thought...

I just hate picking up the poop period! Ranks right up there with unloading the dishwasher. Both jobs do not take very long, just annoying! :) Luckily we do not have many trees, so not many leaves to hide the poop. As far as the bed thing goes, we usually have at least one in bed with us. Luckily it's not the 80 pound knucklehead. As he prefers the floor! It's usually the youngest that has taken up shop at my feet in the bed and then later on in the night the other female will usually come up on the bed too. OY! We are nuts, yes we know, but they do make good feet warmers! So, most mornings, it's the two 60 pounds females and my husband and I in a queen size bed. However, there are times where if we don't feel like having a f'ing dog in the bed, they will be crated! When we first got married, I was soooo good about the no dogs in bed rule. Think that only lasted about a year. Now, look what it has come to! I do have to say though, that except for when the one comes up in the middle of the night it's generally by invitation and when we say get off they do get off. :)

I lasted forever without allowing a dog in bed until 2 years ago when I was ill and had surgery. Falon started jumping up in the bed to keep me company, and I never had the heart to kick her off. She does wait for an invitation and now that it is cold stays up there all night. She usually sticks to the bottom of the bed and like Rezkat says - makes a wonderful foot warmer! C

The only challenge is that sometimes we feel like our legs are pretzeled around the dogs. And they are both usually on my side of the bed! When I had surgery last year and was laid up for a month, it became a routine with the "girls" and I. I'd say, time for a nap and they'd both hop up there, occassionally Mr. Ike would join me, but he only likes to be on the bed when it's just him. :)

How do you sleep at night knowing your dog is in the crate? I sleep very comfortable knowing I have a Shepherd on the foot of the bed all night. Does any one really enjoy picking up poop?

Well, we certainly have lots more leg room! However, that does not happen very often and then we usually end up letting them out of the crate anyways. :) Let's remember, they are dogs too! LOL

I can't sleep with the dogs because my husband is too furry and I would get too hot. We put florescent pellets in their food and shine a light on them at night to find them. Is there any way to stop them from farting at the wrong time?

yet another good reason to feed RAW. Very tiny, compact & not so smelly poop. In fact if you miss one you won't find it a couple days later because they dry up & blow away - not that I would ever do that............

Nancy, Who is farting at the wrong time, the furry hubby or the dogs......and when would be the right fating time?
