Vick gets 23 months.

how many months will he serve?  good behaviour?

not enough time! How pathetic is that?!??! 

I think he serves it all because it is fed time.

What makes a human capable of such things? Is he a sociopath? Desensitized? I can't even watch videos of these things that are all over youtube. The human condition is a mystery to me.

Michael Vick will probably serve all of that "short" sentence. This was the result of the federal trial, and he awaits sentencing by the State of Virginia as well.

That said, his career as a ballplayer is forever ruined. While he may have received a tremendous (don't get me started) salary during his previous career, I am quite sure that he will emerge from this debacle bankrupt as he has defaulted on several large financial expenditures and lenders have filed suit and his property is to be auctioned as well.

Although the prison sentence may seem short, this young man deservedly lost every dream he ever had and will never regain anything he had. In my opinion this punishment is perhaps far greater than a lifetime spent behind bars.

bob - you really think that he wont get signed by a team when he gets out?  i understand that his endorsements are pretty much screwed, but id be suprised if he didn't get signed by a bad team looking to make a move.  mike tyson got another fight didn't he?

IMO Vick is finished in the NFL, he's damaged goods, and will not get another contract.

u people are naive.  we continually let drunks, rapists, domestic abusers, murderers, and drugies play in the NBA, NFL, NHL, and MLB.  do you think it will al of a sudden change because he hurt animals?  i think america has a short memory and will forget about what he has done. 

Was it Vick doing the dog fighting, or was it his friends doing it on his property?
