I HAVE HEARD THAT JAGUAR VD MAUSESPITZ HAS PAST AWAY WELL OVER 1 YEAR AGO. DOES ANY KNOW IF IT IS TRUE? BETH COATS LISTS HIM AS RETIRED. IF HE IS DEAD, A MEMORIUM PAGE, LISTING HIS ACHIEVMENTS AND OFF SPRING WOULD CERTAINLY BE APPROPRIATE FOR SUCH A GREAT CHAMP!

To my understanding, he did indeed pass away. A memoriam page would be nice, but its impossible to know what people have going on in their real lives and sometimes their website is the last thing on their mind.
I own a Jaguar daughter that is just awesome. Beautiful color, strong type, substantial, a1 hips, and just an impeccable temperament. She is the kind of bitch that impresses working line enthusiasts, and best of all, she passes it on to her offspring. I have had the pleasure of working with numerous Jaguar progeny and even a few of his grandkids, and found they are equally good in temperament. I like her so much I just obtained a co-ownership on her full sister from a repeat breeding.
I remember when Jaguar made VA here, is bitework was not only fantastic, his obedience in between excercises was flawless and no one else came even close to looking as good as he did. I have some wonderful pictures of him sitting with my children, and an adorable one of him and my dog laying down and she's reaching over and giving her daddy a lick on the nose. I'll try to get around to posting them for you this week.

Yes, if you search the messageboard here there's a post from January 12, 2007 from the owner, Beth Coats, that states Jaguar passed away the day before Thanksgiving, 2006.

I believe it was cancer?

I believe it was cancer?
While asking such a question may appear insensitive, having an Ursus son (6.5 years) of my own, I'd surely like to know these things. Juaguar was about the right age/sex for splenic hemangiosarcoma.

Thanks, Beth.
You and I met at the USA Sieger Show in 2004.
I still smile when I recall the reactions of our two Ursus sons when they first met and made eye contact at the hotel in Nashville. It was so funny to see these normally non-dog-aggressive males react as Jaguar and my Geronimo did at the sight of each other. Goodness, each seemed to hate the sight of the other through plate glass windows.
My belated sympathy to you for your loss.
