My dog about  2 months ago scraped the top front of his nose with his leather muzzle.around the tip. The part of his nose that includes his nostrils, the moist portion(warm or cold). What is that called by the way? It's totally healed but the color has not completely come back. Will it? Just wondering, but not that it's a big deal to me(appearance issues). Thanks in advance

The color will return.

That part of the nose is technically called the "leather."  Color will probably return, my girl stuck her nose in a weed whacker and got a nasty stripe diagonally across it.  Healed with no trace.

Wow, PSP! There's no end to the way our dogs manage to injure themselves!

Not too long ago, I heard of a dog that stuck its tongue into a paper shredder! It needed some major stitching, but it survived!
