lol...as much as you hate it..... - Page 1

i have a simple stupid little brag.......

yesterday evening i was out in the yard playing with boss...snappin random pics...a little while later my cousin, april, walk over....she starts playing with him, throwing a toy, and snapping her own pics....well she tries to run off with him to another part of the yard, with his toy in her hand she takes off running...lol, they make it about 20 feet and boss suddenly stops turns around and comes running back to me.....i started laughing at her and remind her that boss will not go without me unless i let him know that its ok.....what surprised me about it though was that she had his toy in her hand..he is sooo toy crazy that i've often wondered if he was focused on me or the toy/ treats....for me this showed that his he has the most focus on me right?....then we tried something else ...she started throwing the toy for him again..when he had his back turn, chasing the toy, i took off running in the oppisite direction....

now tell me this...how do they know?....i did'nt even get ten feet , before he spun around and was running at my side....he was chasing a toy, and it completly seems that his thinking is on nothing else but getting that toy? ....i kept running back and forth, turn about every 50 feet, and the entire time he stayed right beside me even though april was right there thowing the toy and calling him trying to get his attention....i just thought it was kinda cool...lol..now i know he loves me more than his toys.....

oh...and the other thing...but im not sure if this is something i should worry about....

when we started walking back to the house...april had her camera (phone) in my face and kept trying to take a pic of me..i started fussing at her, (ok, more like squealing) to stop, get the camera out of my face...well she of course won't stop (shes kinda pushy..lol)..then out of nowhere here comes boss, flying through the air and knocks the phone out of her hand!....i know he did not bite her, but im not sure if he bit the phone or not....he didn't growl at her or anything like that..he just stood there looking at her in that curious way, like he's trying to decide whats going on...it was funny at the moment... we started laughing at him because he protected me from a phone....but later i started worring about it...maybe i should have corrected him?  or will that teach him not to protect me at all? this is  VERY confusing for me...when is a correction the right thing in these situations?

just a bad joke.    I think you need to buy another GSD.  That way your love for Boss will be cut in half and into the realm of normal. 

Getting more than one doesn't seem to help much Don.  I found that out the hard way.

just a tidbit for ya...nothin about me is normal...

i do get gushy about him though.....but thats better than givin in to my hubby wanting to have another baby......instead of having another one of those to gush about id rather sound nutty and baby my dog.......right now its hard not to give into ..ahhh cute baby stuff....with my brother AND my brother-in-law expecting.......and those damn cute tiny baby christmas dresses hanging in every store...lol....

I think that if iluvmygsd had another dog, it would help with this borderline scary relationship she and Boss have together.

Thats awesome!  Congratulations!  Your brother and Brother-in-law are expecting.  That's terrific!  I'm glad they can be open and free, no matter what George W. says!

I wasn't going to brag, but the other day Trigger was licking himself and I called him and he immediately stopped licking himself and came running right to my side without hesitation. Does this mean Trigger likes me better than licking himself or think maybe it was the venison sausage I was helding in my hand? Can't say that Trigger ever protected me from a cell phone, though.
