It is a very good food, I've fed it for years and my dogs have fantastic coats and are in very good health.  However some do get loose stool on it - it doesn't have the stool binders in it that other foods do - no corn or beet pulp - so sometimes loose stool (not all the time, not all the dogs, and not diarrhea).  I do recommend it as a high-quality food that is reasonably priced.

I had great luck on it. Like Eichenluft, my dogs had soft stool. I would give it a min. of 4 - 6 weeks, unless the dogs has just complete watery diarrhea, in which case it could get dehydrated.

Give them some cheese   that ought to solve t he problem...I used the Lamb and Rice by the same co and same thing happened to almost the whole kennel of dogs    loosy stools and then I went to Chicken soup and it was ok for a month then same synerio.....first of bag stools loosy , by the time I got to end of each bag  stools firmed up   ??I called the vet , of the company, and she finally admitted they did some changing of their formula  in Jan of 2006 so I dont know what to believe....

My dogs like cheese and I have a friend who works at a co that sells lots of colboy and wisconsin so she brings me boxes of it and the dogs love it for threats.and when stools get loose and I know its the food,,,,,we get cheese treats.....

yeh there stool can get soft on it but it's nothing big to worrie about... Either giveing them some cheese or a small amount of cooked white rice with their food once a day seams to fix it.  If it continues to be a problem you can try "big wolf" .  I think that is what it's called.... can't remember off the top of my head.  Not all dogs like the tast though so get a smaller bag to try it out mixed with the current food to make sure...

I liked it and 2 of my dogs did great on it, but the baby, she didn't do so well. I have finally figured out that she doesn't do so great on multiple meat sources. So we have since switched to Avoderm and she as well as the others, are doing great on that.

But her stools were loose to a bit watery at times on the Chicken Soup.

The ingredient list does not look bad at all.  The only thing I'm not a fan of is brown rice, but thats just me.  Maybe you weaned her on the food too fast and she might not be use to it yet, creating the soft stools.
