Pricing for breeding female? - Page 1

Hi,

I have a nice female sheperd that I might sell.

She is a Yochey granddaughter via Tarzan Tiekerhook.

Good hips, 3 years old, one litter of 7 already.  Nice

civil and prey drives.  (bites good when practicing)

Not schutzhund titled.  My work is getting busy and

she looks bored sitting around all day.  I get comments

that she looks good.  Based on this info, how much

should I ask for her?

I didn't think that the bitch was worth very much until you got some comments that she looks good.  Now the sky is the limit! 

Honestly, it sounds like a nice pedigree, nice drives, OFA good?, proven to produce pups, and "looks good", but not trained and already 3 yrs old, no titles,   and who knows what kind of foundation she has.  I would say between $1000-$2000, possibly more if her foundation is there and she is a hell of a dog. 

$5000-6000 if you have a certificate of OFA

Documented evaluations count too

With no titles, I'd go with Don's pricing even if she's OFA'd.

WOW!!!!  I have a female for you!  She is even titled.  I feel like I'm on that Antique Roadshow. 

There is no way I pay $5-6000 for an untitled bitch.  Especially one that has had nothing done to her.  I just sold an incredible 3-4 Fado bitch for $600.  I can find a puppy anywhere and let them sit in a kennel for 3 yrs and I would never in a million years expect to get $5000 for it.

What is a "documented evaluation"?

$5000-6,000???  Does she shit diamonds?? lol
