I came across a GSD today with the abbreviation G.T. after the name. I've searched the net, and cannot find this title. Any one ever come across it before? I'm wondering if it might be a typo for C.T. (champion tracker).
The dog in question is Von der Lin's Fan C, and some of the dogs further back in the pedigree do have tracking titles.

I didn't find anywhere online where that was. Never heard of it either. I did find this pretty kewl site though that tells what all of the titles are and training words. Was interesting to look at as I don't know most of them at all!

You'll see there is a CT title, but no GT. Actually, that page is the most complete list of titles I've ever come across, so I've got it bookmarked. (I just couldn't remember where I'd 'file'd the bookmark at first... So, maybe a typo, or maybe someone was transcribing from an old, handwritten pedigree, and misread it?
by eichenluft on 25 November 2007 - 15:11 Maybe it's a part of the dogs name? ![]() by Sunsilver on 26 November 2007 - 17:11 I got my answer, from the breeder who has this dog in her pedigrees. It stands for Guard-dog Trained. It was trained by a private security firm, therefore it's not an official AKC or SV title Contact information Disclaimer Privacy Statement Copyright Information Terms of Service Cookie policy ↑ Back to top |
