I am in the process of ordering topical flea medication.  I have used both Frontline and Advantage with good results, no problems of any kind.
My question is, does any one have experience with Bio Spot Spot On ? They are advertised in Foster and Smith.
It contains two of the ingredients that are in Frontline and Advantage.  My only concern is that it is very inexpensive, less then half the price of the others.
When it comes to my dogs I don't want to skimp to save money, however if it is a good product then I would be happy to save the money.
So does any one have first hand information on this product?  Thanks

I have used it before and was not that impressed.  I am a firm Advantage fan.  That's just me--someone else may have had great success with it.................

I have never used Bio Spot On, I think I've seen the ad's you speak of. I use the Frontline, its suposed to be water proof.

My only bad experience is one of my dogs reacts to frontline with skin irritation,  If you use the Bio Spot I would be curious to know how you like it.

I'll check back to see if anyone has experience with this.  Sorry I couldnt help.

K9 Advantix is the best, it kills fleas ticks and keeps flies away!
Not to be confused with advantage.

With K9 Advantix I only put one drop between the shoulder blades, one drop in the middle of back,
and one drop at the base of the tail, less than what they say, cause it's pretty potent and goes a long way!

I used Bio Spot on my white shepherd way back when, and it turned his white fur
black in a line down his back, stuff was crap!

mirasmom, I usually use the Frontline, but have heard a lot about the Advantage.  Never heard of the K9 Advantage though.  Can you get this at your vet?  And do you think it's better than the Frontline or the Advantage?  Worth a shot if that's the case.  Also, how much does it run for 70 and 80 lb dogs?

If ye have a flea problem now, me can't say enough about Capstar. It's a pill that comes in two sizes. Small size be for dogs under 50lbs and t' larger be for above 50lbs. It starts killin' in just a few minutes and all t' adult fleas will be went t' Davy Jones' locker within 30 - 35 minutes. then ye can treat t' ground with DE, Lime, or Borax and feed 1/4 tsp garlic powder in feed daily and t' flea will be no more

Thanks for the responses so far.
I have done some investigating and with the coments on this board I will probably not bother with the Bio Spot.  It may be a great product for the money but I would rather go with what I know works. I am just going to have to make them earn some money to help pay for their room and board and all the money I spend on them. Ha Ha.

Shepherd Woman, the product mirasmom mentioned is k-9 Advantix, and it can be purchased most any where that sells Advantage or Frontline. Do a google search and you can find the best prices.  You can save lots of $$ shopping around.

As with all of these medications it is wise to watch your dogs for allergic reaction, and this seems to be the biggest complaint on Bio Spot.  Thanks again
