hello all,

i think we can all band together and make a list of vets, that know how to position properly for x-rays, and generally are just good vets, advice etc..

if you live in kansas , i had my male x-rayed at  Town and Country veterinarian. Dr. McReath! she is great. i posted the x-ray here like most and got good feedback on the positioning!  plus she was very fair priced! 85$ to sedate him and take and read the x-rays!

so if anyone else would like to recommend a vet/ clinic that does good x-rays i think it would be informative to all!

sincerely, kenny

p.s. maybe we can get olly to make a place like the kennels and breeders section, for a list of vets that will take the guess work and risk out of this process, not to mention the stress caused by wondering.

Dr. Michael P. Mohler, c/o Animal Medical Clinic, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Telephone 479/521.5220. Excellent canine health veterinarian and not intimidated by GSD's.

Dr. Wooldridge, Alaska Vet Clinic, Anchorage, AK.  He will keep taking the xrays until you are satisfied with the position.  He took three xrays of hips for me, as numbers one and two were not straight enough for me.  That represents real patience and customer satisfaction :-)

I used to live in Fayetteville, AR, Bob-O.   I taught the class for teenagers with severe learning disabilities at the Fayetteville High School for there back in 2001-2002, before I moved to Alaska.

The last two dog's hip xrays did not require repeat takes....Dr.  Wooldridge got them in one shot, I should say.  Prelims of excellent and good at one year.
