Dog missed his throat by 1 inch & Was very Serious. A large 150# Caucasian Dog.. What flaws do you see his work?

As a sporting helper in training , in the first video the helper's center of gravity and foot placement is crap when the slip occured. Working a dog without a wide based two footed stance is a recipe for injury in sport or p.p. training- its just silly. There really is no sleeve presentation either its just an opportunistic grab. The dog did what they were training it to do- sieze the target at whatever opportunity presents itself - maybe that is good for a protection dog - thats not my thing.
That is most definately not sport training- those dogs are extremely civil and the helper is trying to bring that out, and it doesnt seem to be a very controlled situation. The handler is just a bystander, and the enviornment seems to be almost promoting that. I know that there are all kinds of jobs for dogs, but I am a sport person and I would want no part of that personally. That is just my preference though.

And just so no newcomers are confused. These videos are -not- schutzhund.

Definitely a serious dog that will protect something for real!!! Both of them dogs will do the job it appears they are being trained for. There is nothing sport there, from dog to handler to decoy. Nice dogs for what they were bred for.

I will try and touch on this tomorrow.
If I took that do gout of his yard, had a ring sport clatter stick, a couple bleach bottles with rocks in them, and a garbage bag full of aluminum cans,I would make that dog piss itself.

Oh just saw the second video. That dog is a little better but still no good for anything but a perimeter protection or junk yard dog.
