My main concern would be if the mouse had eaten any Rodent poison.
Isn't it amazing just how quickly that type of event can happen?

I would imagine that the lack of oxygen would kill the mouse fairly quickly and IMO one "house mouse" could not be that dangerous...I am not a vet or a tech. This is JMO..Let us know how it turns out...

My outdoor cats eat mice everyday too...I do not have poison around either, but it does make you think about what the neighbors have laying around their yards!..If the mouse was not poisoned, then besides a possible stomach ache I can not imagine it harming the dog...Hope you get more replies...: )

rugar your dog does not eat mice ever? wierd how she caught it and ate it live so quick like a piece of chicken the cat was pissed

A mouse could not eat enough poison to kill a dog and still be walking around.
Mice are on the list of things a dog might eat in the wild, as well as a wolf and many other large carnivores.
Rodents can carry parasites such as tape worms.
If not for the parasites they would make for a good meal.
