Yes , you are right...I feed Malt o meal to the babies when they are three weeks old I make mush with it and they slop it all over themselves and mom cleans them up...Malt o meal is known to have extra folic and drs put humans on it or Cream of Wheat cereal and it has extra added iron also...
When female is mated , I go buy 20 cans of Blue Shepherd canned puppy food.....all puppy canned foods of any reputable good high quality dog food, has folic and choline in it....I add it to the liver and other goodies for the female...
I also put powdered milk on the dry dog food every other day or so for potassium
cottage cheese for calcium, natural not a tablet....no liquid either ,as too much calcuim can cause problems also....read about Milk fever....calcuim impackment caused by too much and it doesnt disembulate probably, important to know these things....when supplementing them.......vit d and E are as important as Ester C also...makes everything bind together in the body properly....
