could some body there tell me which dog should be given a second look? a dog very well angulated, richly pigmented with black mask and strong head and very good bone but not prepared for a show ring or a dog who is good angulated with narrow  muzzle, with very lean body and without  strong head and bones, but with a tremendous gaiting because its been preparing for show ring.

Is this a trick question?  Dog #1 would be the obvious choice in my opinion, providing that when you say "very well angulated" you mean correctly angulated and not over over angulated.  You can always train/condition the dog for the ring.

sueincc is correct but I would say, if you need to ask, then the smart choice would be not to take either.

Not trying to escape from anything Smartboy, honest !  lol

Thought you were asking which should you buy but now I am wondering if you were asking which one a judge would be expected to promote over the other, so which is it?

If it is Buy then my reply still stands - If you need to ask dont buy either. If it is which the judge would possibly promote then Sueincc is correct (as also previously stated).

Let me add this: if your dog isn't prepared for the show ring, it isn't going to win, no matter how good its conformation is! Judges DO take into account proper stacking and gaiting, and how easy the handler and dog make it for them to do their job proplerly and efficiently.
