French Ring & Mondio Ring Trial in Hutto, Texas this weekend - Page 1

Just a quick reminder, we will be holding a dual trial this weekend, French Ring and Mondioring trial, on Friday, San Gabriel Ringers is holding the French Ring Trial, and on Saturday and Sunday, Grupo De Trabajo Mondioring Azteka will be holding the Mondioring Trial.

Our judge for both trials will be Mr Dominic Piton from France

Feel free to join us for a weekend of fun and excitement, we are expecting entries from some of the ring folks in Texas, Mexico and all over the country.

What time is this event starting onFri &  Sat .    May want to come be a spectator..........Would love to watch these events as have never been to a FR or MR event...and Dave Kroyer is one of the best.....

I'm not sure of the exact times but will find out.  We will probably roll in around 8-9 on Friday if not earlier to help out as needed and we don't want to miss Dave & Enoch trialing for the 1st leg of a FR1! :)  Saturday a good friend is going for the 1st leg of her 2 in MR so we'll be there then too.

Boy, I will have to get in high gear here if Im gonna make a Fri  trial     I want my partner who has Myah out of Iska and Lago to see Dave trial . She works and may be bringing Myah to Her training in the area so better get moving if I want to try to go visit and learn about these two sports....and of course , the price of gas went up again,....drat those oilmen   My pocket book can stand much of these prices...or I need to get a volkswagon.....

No kidding on the gas! My other 1/2 has been driving 2x a week 4 hours r/t to train w/ Dave...ouch on the pocket book! And we'll be doing it this weekend too...what we could do w/ all the extra $ spent for doggy purposes, lol.

Yes   She will be coming from Galveston and she is training with larrys club , now,    in Houston.....Lago is great dog and she tells me all the time about him....Poor Iska is gone bye bye     Myah is Iska the second....that why she is being retrained in Austin or near Austin...shes a handlers nightmare,,,like Iska was.....stubborn and smarter than her mom....(human )   Larry is very proud of her......

We train on Monday nights with a club in Magnolia, Larry used to come out regularly but hasn't been out lately.   They must be training w/ the club closer in to the Houston area.  Hope yall are all able to make it out to the trial, looking forward to meeting new faces.

He had been in one of the clubs in Magnolia and he didnt get along very well and he did so much lying he moved on to the Katy side of town....Im referring to MF of tOP DOG ACADEMY.....\

I had planned to come until this pm and read the post on Shandra....Im gonna put my money I would spend on gas to come to the trial this weekend , toward her card...I cant do both....must make sacrifices as it is needed...cant believe the way that turned....as if I am a liar and representing a scam.....dog people.....uhhhhh    I will drive down another weekend  and I had property in Cut n shoot and still have lots of friends in your neck of the woods....   Casey barbque was my stopping place to eat  but he died., so that is no longer a stop.....I haave a handsome dog in Crosby , Texas.......Joshua is his name....and will make contact with you when I come that way...I know how to find you.....

My side of your story is as follows.........I  did sell 3 puppies to Mike Franklin sometime in the early '90's.  He was a member of a training club in Tomball, not Magnolia, I live in Magnolia, but at the time he was well liked and well received by the other memebers and the owner of the club in Tomball.  The puppies I sold to him were on limited registration and papers were provided at the time of sale.  Mike paid me more than what I originally asked for the pups and he made it clear he was purchasing them on behalf of customers he had who were wanting to train for the bite sports, so I knew in advance he was going to resell the pups, and I expected him to make a profit.  Mike and I were never at odds with our side of the deal.  At the time he was in the process of moving as he was splitting from his wife and was dating a female police officer, can't remember if she was with precinct 4 at that time but she later was.   He resold 2 of the pups to 2 individuals here in the Houston area, both of whom I eventually got to know and one of which I am still in regular contact with.  At the time both were very new to import dogs and he told them the puppies were imported from Germany.  He did not  provide the papers to them since it would be obvious that they were not imports and that they were on limited registration.  Sometime after the pups turned 1 year old I was tracked down through the tattoo I had put on them prior to selling them and the two ladies who purchased the pups spoke to me and asked if I would be willing to go and talk to Mike on their behalf so that he would know that his game was up and they knew where the puppies came from, all they wanted from him was the AKC papers on their dogs and had he given them the AKC papers there never would have been any trial.  There were several other people who had greivances with him also, he had split up from the police officer and was living with/soon to be married to/just married  another woman (can't remember now which it was) and she was spitting mad, and he had supposedly done some shady dealings with some other people over the dogs they had left with him.    Several people went to his residence/ place of business (one in the same) that day and placed several demands on him and made several accusations.   One breeder claimed he stole a dog from her.  Just about everyone there was angry and had a chip on their shoulder.   Mike, in light of the prevailing mood,  was unwilling to meet any of the demands anyone made,  save one..........he still had the third puppy he had gotten from me and she was in a padlocked kennel with an older, larger dog and she was in poor physical shape.  I asked.......no I demanded that she be returned to me as I was ultimately responsible for her as her breeder,  I was reluctantly given the d

(did not know there was a length limit.....will finish now) dog at which time I left as there was nothing else I could do there......I was told the others stayed until it was threatened that the law would be called and they  too left.  Since the women did not get their papers they contacted the district attorney to see what could be done and they were told to press charges which they did.  Russell Turbyville was the prosecutor, there was not a woman prosecutor and the ex-girlfriend who was a police officer was not involved in any official capacity in this case.   There was no civilian "ring leder" so to speak.  Had Mike simply turned over the papers there would have been nothing to "ring lead" since one dog was spayed as the owner does that to all her dogs and the other ended up with me as a pet, some time after the proceedings and was never bred so none of the three really needed their papers in the first place.  Several of the other people tried to bring charges to the attention of the DA among them theft of a dog and the misrepresentation of himself (Mike)as a certified trainer to Precinct 4, but none of that was valid enough to press charges on.  Basically, it was all just he said she said sorts of things that had no legal basis whatsoever.  I was subpeoneaed to be a witness and I did testify against Mike at trial.  He was convicted of 2 counts of theft by fraud, he could not be prosecuted of 3 since he returned the third puppy before the trial.  He was NOT convicted of any sort of document fraud as the AKC papers were provided to the women right there at trial and I was given the AKC papers to the dog that had been returned to me as an act of curtisy by Mike the day of the sentencing.  So there was no document fraud either.  Mike was tried and convicted of felony charges of theft by fraud for the misrepresentation of the dogs country of origin, and he was given a 2 year adjucated sentence of probation.  End of story.   I feel that it is absolutely imperative that when these sorts of thing are told the facts MUST be presented correctly.  It is the same matter of principal that Mike was convicted for........... So now we get to the crux of my post..........just who are you and why do you feel it necessary to drag  up all of this that is so old and all but forgotten.
