means one hip is "1" and the other is "2" - they rate both hips. The best rating in that system would be 0/0. So 1/2 IMO isn't so hot. - the equivalent of "fast normal" in one and "NZ in the other? Not sure all I know is 0/0 is the ideal.

Molly I'm pretty sure that isn't right (according to this datbase)
Below are the FCI choices they give you in the database when picking hip ratings. I imagine whoever entered A1/2 for Car chose that because they don't appear to offer a choice for the Czech/Slovak Ratings of 0/0, 1/0, 0/1, 2/2, etc. Some of my dog's pedigree (slovak) is like that (with FCI ratings) and I'm pretty sure they'd have Czech/Slovak ratings over FCI ratings.
FCI: A1/2
FCI: B1/2
FCI: C1/2 (Borderline Mild)
FCI: D1/2, E1/2 Dysplasitc (mild-severe)

I don't know much about Czech ratings but I thought 0/0 was the ideal - that's all I know, sorry if I'm wrong - many Czech dogs are 0/0 so what does that mean then?

Molly YES an Ideal Czech rating is 0/0, but this database doesn't offer Czech ratings (when you are making/updating a pedigree) so apparently people are choosing the FCI ratings instead of leaving it blank.
It's all good
