I think the real issue these days is stopping the corrupt individuals who are actually damaging the very name of SchH, PSA, and the GSD breed altogether.  What can we do to take steps to preserve our sport & breed, and keep a good name in the public eye, amid "BSL" & increasing animal control laws?  Is this an important thing to be concerned about or not?  When people like Timothy Helser are out there training dogs to attack, maim or kill someone, this should definitely be a serious topic; something that needs to be brought to light no matter how "old" or "crackpot" it seems to anyone.

This sport & breed in itself has sadly become a haven for those who prey on the unknowing & naive, and I know how sad it is indeed from my own experience.   Those are the real people at fault for turning folks off & endangering ereyone else's love & fun.  People who con & lie & steal like Timothy Helser are the Real reason SchH is going to die.....  We need to stop this before it happens.

I dont think  Schutzhund should be a sport.  It is a test, it is competition. I dont think Schutzhund is in any danger.

The breed is what is in danger. And yes, there are a few people out there who you should avoid.

Just my thoughts.

You train and practice shutzhund yourself with high standards and ethics.

You associate only with people that have your same standards and ethics.

You refer only to people that have your same standards and ethics.

Seriously, you focus on what you are doing and less on what the other people are doing.   The sports existance is not dependent on one person.
