You didn't ask the breeder when you bought her? Kind of strange not knowing what your getting isn't it? JMO

She is a sable. Impossible to tell how dark whe will get at this age, but she will darken a lot with her first adult coat.
Good luck with your new puppy girl.

Hi there, pup is definitely a sable. Without wishing to sound nosey, where did you get her? The reason I ask is that there was a message on the board a few weeks ago re a litter of pups stolen in Ireland - some of which were sable. I am not suggesting for a moment that you were involved in any way, rather wonder if the seller is reputable??

Umm wow, mated her to calm her down???? That's a new one.
andria1r, hun next time turn and RUN in the other direction... there are plenty of respectable breeders out there and this is not one of them, I hope you didn't spend much money.
Good luck with your pet, I hope you give her a wonderful home.

If a breeder cant tell you on the reg what color y got ,,,not very reputable and if they bred to calm someone down,,,,,Id be the one they would have to calm down........anxious to know where this pretty litttle sable came from.....know people looking for a good deal.....sable included...
Its gonna be hard to tell for a couple of weeks and dont be surprised it it comes out grey sable Cola was that color or redder and she is a dark grey sable......her pups were red sable and looked a little darker than that at six weeks, but one was red sable and one turned out grey sable......take pics every week so y can look back and see how greatly the colors change....thats one thing you cant predict....is what color a sable ends up ......unless they are ultra dark at 6 weeks then y know they will be dark red or black sables.....
good luck take a pic of the face so we can see its expression.......

Hi Andria
Can you tell me where you are located? Would you be in the UK or Ireland? We have many breeders and GSD people out there that could be of help tp you.
If the mother was hyper you may have a problem with your little girl later on, so better to start sooner before the problems occur. You could do with all the help you can get. Did you see the mum of the pups? This is important.
I also have some good books about basic training. If you contact me I can forward them to you FOC
Regards
Lexi
