Eight is enough! - Page 1

Puppies that is! Today we had our newborn puppies born and boy did mom have us fooled. Our litter was between Faika von Bad-Boll & Teejay von Wilhendorf. Faika started having her first puppy at 10:30 am on Nov 10. Right on her due date! Well she had her next puppy at about 11:45 am. Then she had a puppy at about 1pm. At this point she had 3 males and it seemed as if she was done delivering. So we wait an hour and nothing. Two hours later…nothing :( We begin to realize that she is only having three male puppies. We are sad because we had so many people that we wanted to please. So three hours have passed and we start cleaning up the whelping area and clean Faika off. We get her situated again and feeling comfortable. Well it’s now four and a half hours later and our vet said she is probably done since she is all relaxed. Well I hear a gush of water and here comes a female puppy! Few minutes later another female puppy. Soon afterwards another and another and yet one more. Three more males to bring the total to Eight! Six males and three females. Safe to say that “Eight is enough”. I have felt her stomach very well and she is truly done. We are happy since now we can make some people happy! Have a look at mom and her litter right here:

We are going through the same thing right now - started at 5 pm, Saturday, it's now almost 2 am Sunday, and we have 9, and I think there is one more! We all are very tired, but happy, as the mom was two days overdue.
