So,  I'm very close to making a deposit on an upcoming litter.  However, I'm having trouble deciding on which one.  Just wanted to get some of your guys thoughts on these few litters.   Keep in mind that I will not be doing Schutzhund, I will be doing tracking, obedience, and protection, but I will be training the pup with a friend of mine who has trained police k9's for many years now.  Fox/Cena are going to be bred in a few months, and Zelda/Kevin will be bred come Feb.  I'm ready to make a deposit, I'm just having trouble deciding.  Let me know if the links don't work.

Here is the first one out of Fox/Cena
Here is Fox's page showing some of his accomplishments, and here is the pedigree of the litter.

Here is the second one out of Navar/Bria

And the last one out of Kevin/Zelda. They got the sire of this litter when he was five years old and weren't able to train as much as they would have liked when they first got him either. I use to have video of him working, but I don't know where it is.  He will be going for his SchH1 soon (yes he just turned 8) as well as his FH 1.

start with hips and elbows.....of sire, dam, uncles, aunts, cousins......
then with titles.......how many have working titles,..
then with temperament.........ask owners to describe the temperament sire and dam and the puppies..
then if you must........color and sex.......
then price and locality.......

puppy shopping is so much fun.

you will need a puppy with lots of drive......
check out this litter...... http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/dog.html?id=731785

both sire and dam have crazy drives, but can turn off easily, very confident and loyal
sire is titled in search, and has agility and ob points

I would want a Kevin/Zelda pup cause they have some of my dogs relatives in the pedigree,
and of course, I love my doggies!!!

I know what the guy means about training the dog at a later age, my dog Theo just turned 6 years old and I brought him to bitework for the first time ever, the helper said he could probably get his ScH 1, I say, I know he could have titled in the field of ScH but he was returned to me after being in an abusive situation, I'm just glad he is once again the stable good natured dog that left my home as a pup.

I have decided to try and title his son Oeht & neice Maggie instead.

Good luck with your decision, I know how hard it is to decide on a pup!

None of it matters if they die of bloat, check that out too.

I  like Kevin and Zelda, strictly on looks, and the fact that Kevin has proven he has what it takes at 8 years of age.   The best thing is to go see the parents in person, and watch them work.  I can't stress that enough GSDguy, especially if you are paying a lot of money.  Make sure you can trust what the breeder says also.

All the best, and let us know what you decide. :)

Finding a ZVV3 in a female is a rarity, let alone in a male, and in this case (Navar/Bria), both parents are ZVV3 dogs (only VERY few dogs get ZVV3 in a whole year).  I think the combo is going to be exceptional, if you like the Czech lines.

ZVV3 = *Very* high trainability and intelligence.

The Fox\Cena breeding does have a large number of fast normals on both sides of the PED's. Just keep in mind. I know Christina with Wendelin Farms who is doing the Navar/Bria breeding. Since i know her, I am biased. lol. Navar is a great dog and you know what you get with him and his progeny. Bria is a tough bitch. As aaykey said, both dogs a ZVV3!!!! You cant ask for better. i certainly woulg go with that breeding. Since your not doing Sch you dont need a high drive dog. The Navar x Bria breeding will bring great biddability, solid drives and hard protection. Pups should should be seripus and have rock solid nerves.

I personally would go with the Navar breeding. I LOVE Navars pedigree. If I was ready for a pup right now I would seriously look at one of the pups from this upcoming breeding.
