Hi shepherd woman,

I feel you don't need to worry about colour.  I had a male dog about 10 years ago and he was almost pale/off-white  at the age of 7 months.  I had no hope of its ever  getting dark tan.  But things changed dramatically and was unusually golden( closer to red) at the age of thirteen months and produced richly pigmented puppies.  so, things can change for ur dog too provided he comes from a family of dark colors.

regards,

smartboy

Sometimes even something as simple as changing dog food or adding suppliments can improve the dogs coloring.  I know my male pup had a rather dull coat when I first got him- they were feeding pro plan which isn't garbage but not my first choice-so I switched to solid gold and boy did his colors start to change.  They became more vibrant and bold.

LOL Rezkat5, they started a different post off of mine where I asked the question, rather than answer it on my post.  Look for the same post that I did and you will find the rest of it, lol.  Sorry it confused ya.
