Here are a few digital images of our Karats Ulko son Gunther Von Banffy Haus who turned a year old 16 September.
Image quality isn't the best, but just wanted to share the images of our boy...

Didn't you post pics of him when he was just a pup and we all commented about his hump in his back? That he looked like a camel and that he was in pain?
Well, I will be the first to apologize if it was you and your dog. From the pics that you just posted he looks pretty good.
I guess I will just keep my mouth shut from now on. How's he doing and what are you doing with him?

I'm glad to see you back in spite of the horrible reception you received when your dog was a pup, and he's looking very well!

JRANSOM- yes, I did post images of Gunther when he was younger, and yes, there were many comments made that could only have been considered "negative" at best....
KCzaja -Thank you. I never really left, I just didn't post anymore questions as I was "overwhelmed" by all the "expert" opinions I had received when I posted those puppy pics of Gunther.
Gunther is a bit roach backed, has a dent in his left ear and his rear legs are just a bit cow hocked, but he is HAPPY, Healthy and full of energy.
We are waiting for Gunther to be 18 months old before we decide if we are going to start training him for schutzhund, (see my past post regarding Gunther being diagnosed with IVA as the reason for waiting until he turns 18 months old).
When I posted those images of Gunther as a pup, my favorite replys were from the "experts" who replied with , "
He's in pain" or "He is abnormal" or my personal favorite... "He must have a spinal injury". LOL.
Gunther is doing great. He continues to be his high energy self, and has already proven himself as the protector of our home, as he alerted me to, and then confronted a prowler in the backyard last month, and held the subject at bay.
It was subsequently determined that it was just a drunk college aged kid who had wandered (assisted over our 6 foot wood stockade fence by his equally drunk buddy) into my backyard thinking it was his parents home and he was going to sleep in the shed rather than let his parents see him in his drunken stupor.
The drunk college kid learned a lesson about entering fenced in yards that are protected by GSD's. LOL.

Happy belated birthday Gunther.
He certainly looks happy and healthy. Good to hear you are enjoying him. LOL about the drunk kid in the back yard! I too am sorry you received negative comments. That's what happens when you post pics and ask for opinions. I was told to shoot my dog and that she would make a good can opener. Whatever. Don't let that keep you from posting. You just have to weed through the negative comments. I have made my share but I try to be gentle. Echo's my baby and she will turn 1 year on 09/30/09.
