PAA is pancreatic atrophy. The pancreas no longer produces digestive enzymes and dog will starve without enzyme supplements, also requires special diet and antacids. I have been told by vet, that most owners of these dogs, put them down. Is this true?

The PAA that is on a pink paper does NOT mean this. It has something to do with title, hips etc. I don't believe the person was referring to a disease.

PAA = pancreatic acinar atrophy. This is a form of late onset EPI.

I guess I didn't explain myself well. I had enquired on an earlier post if anyone had a GSD with PAA. Louise Penery is correct in that PAA is a disease, not a title. It is Pancreatic Acinar Atrophy and is becoming quite common in GSD's and Rough Collies. Dogs that suffer from this disease also might contract Parianal Fistula.
Back to my original query, does anyone have a GSD with PAA?
Perplexed
