Our Downy Girl - Page 1

Hey all, even though our mix, Downy is not all GSD, I had to share the news.  Downy by the way is a mix of GSD, Chow and Sheltie.  Back in 2000 when we bought our house, I went online looking to adopt a dog.  I found Downy!   When I saw her head shot online, I melted.  She was one big ball of fluff!  I contacted the adoption agency by email and asked them if she was still there.  They said yes she was still there.  They had her there for a few months, taking her to EVERY adoption day and not one person inquired about her!  Mainly because Downy is very timid/shy etc. and is basicall afraid of her own shadow out in public!  Downy was 6 months old when we adopted her.  She is now 8 years old.  I know, I know, get to my brag, lol.  Welllll, I went to our local Canine Health Days this morning with Downy and Chaos in tow.  I wanted to have Chaos re evaluated again for the CGC to check out his aggression that he started at 1 year with other dogs.  Well, he passed and all went well.  MY brag issss, just for the heck of it, I filled out the paperwork for Downy to try for her CGC.  SHE PASSEDDD!!!!!  WOOOHOOO, I was so excited for her, lol.  She only flinched when they dropped the chair and wheeled the thing around her to see how she would react.  She did awesome.  I also had the photographer take a photo of Chaos, and then I had one taken of Chaos and Downy laying down side by side.  They look like bookend, lol.  Except for Downy is only half of Chaos's size.  I can't wait until Wed when I get the pictures and I'll post them when I get home.  Any way, just had to share my brag about my Downy girl  Thanks for reading this : - }

Congratulations, that's awesome!  Two brags in one, it can't get any better than that!

  LoL I love this last picture.  she really doesn't like her picture being taken.  When someone is taking it, most of the time she will kind of bark/growl at them.  It's quite funny when she does it!

Thanks angusmom.  I think she is going to stay a puppy as long as she can!  I think it's the sheltie in her.  She is still very full of life every day.  She is a real sweetheart.
