my doggie's poo is never solid - Page 1

i've been feeding innova large breed puppy food since last two months now. her body and coat looks great.

but she never does solid poo... always like little bit of loose stools which makes her to lick or bit out of it.

i even added that packets of forbid a week and still didn't resolve the issue of eating poo.

but when i feed her beef liver treat that time she does really solid poo.

do you think its due to food?

also, i'm feeding her six cups a day which is 2cups three times and now she is 5months old and around 45lbs.

should i reduce quantity of food also or keep in the same level?

I had the same problem with Solid Gold when my girl was a puppy, never was solid stool.

I switched her to Royal Canin and everything is great!  Small and firm stool.  You probably don't need to feed puppy food anymore either.  Too much fat in the food could be a cause as well!

Try the Royal Canin, it really is a good food.

You may be feeding the dog too much.  Try reducing the amount and see if it does not tighten up.   With the eating poo, try giving a package of limburger cheese(1/4 pound) once a week for 5-6 weeks and see if that deter the behavior.
