I've been wanting to get into graphics for a very long time. I decided to play with photoshop to see what I can get outta it.
To my astonishment I made this very neat graphic, Not bad for a beginner in the graphics world :D

That is a beautiful graphic with an awesome subject! If you ever want to dabble with something else at the same time, try Flash, You can be very creative with it. I used a program called Swish, http://www.swishzone.com/ it makes Flash a real no brainer and allows you to have more fun instead of getting frustrated with flash.
Have fun and enjoy :)

Brit, That looks real nice. Is photo shop a free program on the net or do you have to purchase it ?

Nice work!
Last time I checked Photoshop had a trial version you can download, but after that it definitely was NOT free.

I use Photoshop CS2.
It's -quite!- pricey, and it needs a high-end system to run it, but if you can afford the set-up and program, it's an amazing app.
There was a nice little program a while back called "ColorIt!" It does a lot of the basic things photoshop does on a one-layer image. Lot of the same tools. Consider it "photoshop for the budget artist." I loved it. Never buy one of those baby versions of Photoshop that Adobe puts out; they're frustrating to use, and for $100+, definately not worth your money in aggravation.
