Sorry everyone...but for some reason, it wouldn't let me post on the other thread.  So I thought I would start a new one.  (Damn dial-up) LOL

My name is Christine, 37 (almost 38), single mom living in Ohio.  I was born in MI, but raised in Germany.  (Army brat)  I have 3 wonderful daughters, ages 19, 18 and 15, I lost my only son in 1991.  I brag about my children almost as much as I do my dogs.  My oldest is in her first year of college, studing Criminal Justice, my next is a Sr. in high School, and training for the Marines, and my younest....well, she is definately the "baby" of the family and spoiled rotten.  This is her first year of HS, and she is the Asst. Chief with the Explorers on the Fire Department where we live.  I have an Associates Degree in Animal Science, an Assoc. in Business Management, and am now working on my Assoc. in Criminal Justice.  One of these days I will grow up and decide what I want to do with my life! LOL  I have been married twice (will never make that mistake again), but my second marriage only lasted 2 yrs.  I should have learned after the first time.  Luckily my second hubby and I are still friends, and the divorce was actually pleasant.  My first hubby told me, after almost 10 years of marriage, that I had to chose between him and my dogs.....he became an EX within 9 months!

Living in Germany is where I first got interested in the GSD's.  We always lived off-base, and everyone had one.  As a young child, I would always go and watch trials and shows, and when I got older, I would go and help our German friends if they had multiple dogs, as most did.  I obtained my first GSD from a german friend in 1989 for helping him with his dogs and kennels.  I brought Gerico back to the US with me when I came back in 1991.  My first husand and I were stationed in Alabama, where I also obtain my first female GSD.  (Vopo Kirschental lines).

I have never had the opportunity or pleasure of competing in SchH., myself, until now (we are still in training though), and can't wait for the experience.  However, I have done AKC, 4-H with the kids, SAR, and trained my daughter Service Dog all by myself!!! :)  I have a pretty different view them most, but my dogs are my life!  I am currently owned by  7 GSD's (one adult female, 1 neutered adult male, and 5 pups left from my last litter.)  I don't concider myself "stuck" with them, because they are here until I can find acceptable homes for them.  I also have a Bel. Mal.  We call her our "maligator on Mt. Dew with a can of whoop A**!!) rofl  and I inhar. 2 Lhasa's when my mother passed away.  (stupid little dogs! LOL j/k)  I have a sign over my door to remind me every day of what my dogs mean to me...."May I always be the kind of person that my dog thinks I am."

Welp, that's about it in a nut shell! :)

Christine
