Petros

Do you know how good as a SchH trainer is the woman called Ingeborg Krüger? She is located in Grünheide Brandenburg Germany...

Did'nt you just get your dog back from a 9 month ordeal which according to what you posted your dog was abused, scars ,bad training, and no title.I hope you are not thinking of sending this poor dog half way around the world again.Im finding that it is sometimes better to not  bother reading these posts cause it  really makes you wonder about the kind of charectors in this  GSD game of ours.Anyway, good luck to your dog with whatever it is you are doing now.By the way you say in another post that you do schutzhund among other things but there are no clubs in greece according to you.If you are not doing this for money as you say,why not take your time and find someone close to where you are that will help get your dog titled?Good luck to your dog

1) Yes indeed there are no clubs in Greece, only one which is located in mainland, in Athens and I have to travel by ship or plane to get there. You can ask and see for yourself.

2) Yes, I have started in SchH with 2 dogs which are already too much for my spare time.

3) I was thinking to try another trainer in Germany, I am not too sure. Maybe the best thing is to set my priorities and deal with 1 dog at a time...

4) There is a friend who is close and a qualified helper (and the only one in my island). He has been trying to set up a team for the last 3 years with no luck. You see, in Greece there are CACIB shows mainly (all breeds) which according to the FCI regualtions you do not need to have SchH or koerung not either HD + ED status. At present there is only ONE show per year for GSDs only held by the Hellenic GSD club which is in Athens.

5) Most GSDs that are bred here in Greece have no HD/ED, SchH or other working trials. If breeders can go away with it and get their dog titled with 3 CAC Titles as "National Champion" or with 4 CACIB titles as "Internatonal Champions" why bother and set up clubs? They sell all right as it is...

6) I am one of the few who go along with their breeding according to SV (HD/ED and try for SchH) and not according to FCI. And I assure you I am not a professional...

Petros, may I suggest that you consider a trainer here in the US for your dog rather than sending it to Germany? I am  sure there are a number of very able trainers here who will treat you and your dog right and you will be able to locate them if you continue to do your homework and ask for references.

Blitzen,

There are definetely great trainers in the USA but Petros is in Greece and that is a lot closer to Germany than the USA.

so, if someone knows a reliable trainer in Germany for Petros they should let him know as I am sure there are plenty.

Petros if you have problem locating one then I suggest you contact :

Frank Terry Terhorst

Rees, Germany

ph. 49-2851 97542

email : TerhorstFrank@aol.com

Frank is extremely knowledgable and can introduce you to someone in Germany that you can trust if he cannot do the training himself. Frank is very reliable and honest.

Petros, for about the same amount of money, you could just go visit a club and train your dogs yourself, which is much more fun anyway. Maybe you try that?
