Dogs skulls, teeth and brains are smaller than wolves, with a 20% smaller brain.

Imagine worrying about whether or not your kid is going
to be eaten by wolves while walking to school, scary stuff,
sort of like the tale of little Red Riding hood!

"That was sort of my leader," Kameroff said. "Now it's all bloody and can't move around. I might have to get rid of it. It's too painful watching it barely move around."
That comment made me sick to my stomach, ever heard of a vet??

Non-professional mushers do not usually spend money on their dogs. They'll shoot them first. As far as I know there has never been a documented case of a healthy wolf attacking a human.

Actually I watched a program on National Geographic where a man decided to walk along a lake in a small village (I think it was Alaska) and was attacked and killed by a pack of wolves. Another man had been attacked in the same area but survived. It's been a while since I saw it and can't remember why but their food supply had been low. Just can't recall all of the details. They found the tracks where the pack had stalked the dead man and waited until he was in a wooded area to attack. Their tracks were traced on the edge of the frozen lake and he had been walking just inside of the tree line. He was eaten and there wasn't much left. Really scary stuff.

Ugh. Now that's scary. I've never heard of healthy wolves killing a human, they usually try to avoid them at all costs. They must have been starving. "National Geographics" is certainly a reliable source, so it must be true.

I guess I live by the old addage "be prepared" If i live in a area that i suspect some kinda of possible wild animal activitey i would be carring a equalizer (remington, colt, smith and wesson) just me. I can only count on my self for protection.
I feel bad for the people killed and the animals injured but we must remember as we take away there enviroment the more they will be in conflict with us.

Yeah, I saw that same story about the men being attacked in Alaska. I think the one guy was killed by either one or two wolves, I don't think it was a large pack, but don't quote me. But yes, I do remember them following where they had stalked him and where the attack occured.

I can't help but to think that too.
Pretty scary stuff though. Packing a gun would be a neccessity.
